And, on being a straight lady with a dude-dominated job
This week everyone is back at work (from snow, vacations, conferences) and the countdown seems to be on to the moment where I have to work closely with a dude at I went on a couple of dates with last year that totally did not call.
I know he (and everyone) notices my presence in the building at work more than I notice them (I have boobs and green hair), but he and I awkwardly pathed-around each other a couple of times this week.
I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to balance knowing the pool of eligible dudes and professional connections are the same pool of people, but I’m pretty sure, awkwardly crossing paths, that I would make the EXACT BAD DECISION that I did a couple of months ago a second time.
Seriously, careers kind of suck. Appropriateness sucks.
But whatever, I’m hanging out with a hotter guy tomorrow night so
