NPR on Low Power FM: license translators first →
nesbittslimesoda:
Summary: After finally quieting down long enough to let a bill that allows more community radio stations on the air, NPR is now saying that a huge backlog of translator applications (which would crowd the low power stations off a lot of the available frequencies) should be dealt with first.
And this is not the first time NPR has gone after other community and educational...
I just signed into the student loans website..
… since I got one of those “HEY WE HAVE A LETTER POSTED FOR YOU” (note to the internet: that’s what email is for, not your website) and discovered I have a balance of $0.00.
Something — not me — paid off the balance of my student loan 3 days ago?

That’s my music at the bottom there!

Recently, I got a chance to work with Reed Ruddy and the Seattle Rock Orchestra at Studio X on a record we’ve been chipping away at for a while now. It’s a collaboration between us and Allen Stone titled Neon Cathedral. You may have heard the track when we premiered it at the sold out Allen…

I wonder how “gun-meet-foot” it would be to go shopping for sweaters (I’m thinking super tight 50s and early 60s style?) instead of practicing the music for my concerts this week.
Today was terrible!
Last meal was over 10 hours ago. Now spending all the cash I made at my orchestra gig on a cab ride home.
Planes
I like the different groups of people on the flights that go to Lincoln and to Seattle.
Seattle flights have aging hippie-ish moms with bright striped socks and sensible Mary Janes. Dudes in their mid-40s with black plastic glasses that still spike and floof up their gray hair. Lots of brightly colored hair. Multiple musical instruments. Dead silence as everyone taps on their smart...
